High Country Bus Festival is held every summer during the last full weekend of July. During the hot summers it is great to get up in the mountains and cool off in the breezes. BUT The- it can get chilly at night, be sure to pack some warm clothes! There were nearly 140 buses that made the trek up the mountain last year. What a great opportunity to come camping with old friends and new. Our location is right on the New River!  Angie and Peyton Colvard of Twin Rivers Family Campground in Crumpler, NC are our wonderful hosts.

There are many different types of sites to choose to camp. There is a large field on the river with some hook-ups.  There are also some gorgeous remote sites in the primitive area if you do not like crowds. You DO NOT NEED TO CALL for reservations.  The camping spots are first come, first served.  If you would like power or a waterfront site, you will need to come early.

Twin Rivers Family Campground is right along The New River, so bring your water toys and swim suits!  The campground will have tubes for rent on location.  If you are a fisherman, a fishing license cost $10.00 non resident, additional $10.00 for trout stamp, for short term fishing can buy, and check regs, @NCWRC.gov

Costs: There is a $7.00 per person / per night for the campground fees which includes the use of hot showers, bathhouses, etc. Children 14 and under are free.

In addition, there will be a (one time) $5 registration fee per vehicle for the weekend. This will only add $5 to your camping fee for the whole weekend and is per vehicle, not person. These funds are used  to cover festival costs. Both fees will be collected at the office when you sign in.

Please sign in at the office when you get to the campground. See you in JULY!!!!
